Background

Josh led innovation teams at NIC Inc, building government technology for agencies across six states, including work for the State of Indiana. He founded Open for Service, an effort that drew coverage from CNN and the BBC.

He is also the founder and CEO of Selflessly, a B Corp platform that helps growing companies run their giving and volunteering programs. In 2026 he rebuilt Selflessly around an AI agent, a story featured in the Indianapolis Business Journal.

Why Huckleberry

Josh mentors founders, and the same question keeps coming up: “I have an idea. Now what?” The Huckleberry Co. is his answer. It's a small software factory that builds its own apps and helps people with an idea, and no engineering team, get real software built in plain English.

Selflessly and The Huckleberry Co. are separate companies.
